A digital chalk rendering using a photograph by the author of Masai tribesmen walking along a trail in Tanzania as a reference. I spent some time living among some Masai in 1994. Since then I always associate “free” with the Masai.

I associate ‘free’ with when living ‘bush’ … Society is what stops our freedom the most. I like the chalky whooshiness to give a dream-like free feel!
Beautiful!
this is so beautiful… and indeed the Masai are a free and proud people…
How wonderful. I really like the softness of the chalk. It has a mirage effect and makes me feel as if I am longing to be with the tribesmen.
I really like the ability to manipulate photos and I love what you’ve done with this photo. Great take on the theme as well.
Beautiful piece!!
